As far as I have understood, there is no mention in the original text of Draupadi having any romantic liking for Karna. Of course, there have been several books that hint at that possibility.
Draupadi respected Karna as a warrior who was equal in every way to her valorous husband Arjuna. Draupadi herself was trained well in warfare and she knew a valiant warrior when she saw one. I believe that it is unfair to think of her respect for Karna as having romantic undertones.
