The Vedas were composed at a time when there was no written script…over 3500 years ago. It was purely by oral rendition that they were taught by learned Gurus to children. This explains the exaggerated pronunciation while reciting the Vedas. One longer ‘aa’ or one shorter ‘mm’ can completely alter the meaning of what is being chanted. This video from UNESCO explains this beautifully.
The advent of written texts is a very recent development. So there is no ‘original Hindu Vedic Text’ anywhere.
