Who’s a modern day example of a very eloquent, smart, and beautiful woman who uses her power as a woman and her intelligence as a human being very wisely?

Answer by Raakhee V. Menon:

There are a few that come to mind. The criteria in the question is so specific that it’s tough to find someone who fits the bill perfectly.

Priyanka Chopra

People say all sorts of things about her but I personally feel that she is truly a force to reckon with. Winning the coveted Miss World crown at the turn of the century and going on to carve a niche for herself in a nepotism-ridden industry like Bollywood is an achievement in itself.

And then she goes on to make an impact in Hollywood as well… hats off to her!

Here’s what a write-up[1]about her reads…

The Indian actor, singer, film producer and philanthropist, first rose to fame after winning the Miss World 2000 pageant. She is also one of India’s highest-paid actors. She bagged numerous awards, including one National Film Award and five Filmfare Awards. The Government of India conferred upon her the prestigious Padma Shri, the fourth highest civilian award in 2016. Time Magazine featured her on the 100 most influential people in the world list.

Her role as Alex Parrish on the 2015 ABC thriller drama Quantico, made her the first Indian to act as the protagonist in an American network drama series. Working with UNICEF for the last ten years, she was also appointed as the national and global UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador for Child Rights in 2010 and 2016.

While her singing career has three singles out, she is also the founder of the production company Purple Pebble Pictures, which released the celebrated 2016 Marathi film, Ventilator.

Nita Ambani

The wealthiest woman in India at the moment. She could easily just sit at home and live a life of unimaginable luxury. Yes, she is very much indulging the latter, but she is not a homemaker. Ms. Ambani is an entrepreneur and chairperson of several organizations.

Some people may say that she is able to do all that because she has the money to. Yes, she does. But she is not sitting at home like a potato and doing nothing, is she? Even though she could well afford to.

She’s doing a lot of things that keep her busy just like her industrialist husband and her children. She also takes a lot of pain to look the way she does.

Oh I have read a lot of Page 3 stories about how she did surgery and this and that. So what? She is doing what boosts her self-confidence. Anyone who bitches about her is just jealous.

Sharing a write-up about her from her page on Wikipedia…

Nita Dalal Mukesh Ambani (born 1 November 1963) is the chairperson and founder of the Reliance Foundation and a non-executive director of Reliance Industries. With a family fortune estimated in excess of US$40 billion, she is among the wealthiest women in India. She is married to Reliance Industries chairman and managing director Mukesh Ambani. She is an art collector and owner of the Mumbai Indians cricket team. Nita is the founder and chairperson of Dhirubhai Ambani International School, Mumbai.

Ambani has received numerous honors including a place in the 2016 edition of both the most influential women business leaders in Asia list by Forbes and the fifty high and mighty Indians list by India Today. She is the first Indian woman to become a member of the International Olympic Committee (IOC).

Ambani was honoured by the Metropolitan Museum in New York for her work in philanthropy, education and promoting the arts.
